Solid Waste Management Planning

As of 2012, the State of North Carolina no longer requires individual counties to update their Solid Waste Management Plan. Guilford County last updated its ten-year plan in 2012. For additional information about the Guilford County Solid Waste Management Plan or if you would like to submit comments or suggestions involving solid waste issues and services, contact the Guilford County Environmental Services at 336-641-3792, or email bsteele2@guilfordcountync.gov. 

Each county is required to submit a comprehensive Solid Waste and Materials Management Annual Report to the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ) so that they can assess the progress in meeting the goals set out in G.S. 130A-309.04.
