In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, Guilford County is hosting two community mental health resource fairs aimed at promoting mental wellness, connecting individuals with support services, and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and substance misuse.

Guilford County Environmental Services invites all county residents to participate in its upcoming Spring Cleanup Recycling Event on Saturday, April 26, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Eastern Guilford Middle School, located at 435 Peeden Drive, Gibsonville, NC 27249.

The recycling event is free and open to all Guilford County residents. Business waste will not be accepted.

Guilford County will celebrate National County Government Month (NCGM) during the month of April to showcase how the county helps empower Successful People to thrive in a Strong Community supported by a Quality Government.

The first of three budget town halls and community resource fairs scheduled for today, Monday, March 31 has been postponed due to the threat of severe weather. The event, originally set to take place at Claxton Elementary School from 5:30 to 8 p.m., will be rescheduled. Updates on a new date will be published on guilfordcountync.gov/budget-town-halls.

The budget town hall and community resource fair scheduled for Tuesday, April 1, at Jamestown Elementary School will continue as planned.

The Extension Master Gardener℠ Passalong Plant Sale will be held Friday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the NC Cooperative Extension, Guilford County Agricultural Center at 3309 Burlington Road, Greensboro. The plant sale benefits the Extension's Master Gardener Volunteer Association program fund, which supports school garden grants, free gardening classes, and community events centered on public education.

Guilford County Animal Services in partnership with Greensboro Parks and Recreation, is excited to host the fifth annual Howl-O-Ween on Sunday, Oct. 26, from 1 to 4 p.m., at Country Park, 3905 Nathanael Greene Dr., Greensboro. 

The Guilford County Division of Public Health will host upcoming community mobile clinics in Greensboro and High Point, which are available to all county residents.

The Budget Town Hall and Community Resource Fair originally scheduled for Monday, March 31 at Claxton Elementary School has been rescheduled for Monday, April 28.
