Catherine Johnson, Director of the Guilford County Family Justice Center (FJC), has accepted the role of President and Chief Executive Officer with the Alliance for HOPE International, a global nonprofit dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence through advocacy.

For the ninth consecutive year, the Guilford County Family Justice Center (FJC) will host Camp HOPE America – North Carolina, Guilford County, a nationally recognized, evidence-based camping and mentoring program for children impacted by violence and abuse.

The Guilford County Health and Human Services building, including Social Services, at 1203 Maple St. in Greensboro, is closed today due to a power outage.

Guilford County is working with local jurisdictions and community partners to update the county’s Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. The plan identifies and assesses the region's hazard risks for natural disasters and identifies strategies to minimize or manage those risks.

In response to recent confirmed rabies cases in the Jamestown area, Guilford County Animal Services (GCAS) is suspending the intake of healthy cats. This measure is being taken out of an abundance of caution and will remain in effect until further notice.
