The Guilford County Child Fatality Prevention Team announces the opening of nominations for the 24th annual "Safety Makes Cents" award, which honors exceptional contributions in the field of childhood injury prevention.
One recipient will be selected to receive the 2026 award, which includes a $2,000 grant. The awarded funds must be used to support and advance the recipient's ongoing safety initiatives.
Eligibility: The "Safety Makes Cents" award is open to groups, organizations, or agencies in Guilford County dedicated to reducing or preventing childhood injuries or fatalities through innovative programs and initiatives.

Applications for the "Safety Makes Cents" award will be accepted until April 10.
