The Point-in-Time (PIT) Count is an annual count of sheltered and unsheltered people experiencing homelessness. The Guilford County Continuum of Care (CoC) conducts the count each year. The data collected helps determine the services and resources needed in different communities to help prevent and/or end homelessness.

2026 Point in Time Count is complete!

Thank you to all of our volunteers for coming out to speak to our unhoused neighbors. Braving the cold and treacherous elements was a reminder of how resilient our unhoused neighbors are and the importance of support and care that they need.

We would also like to give a special thanks to the following agencies, without whom, there would be no 2026 Point in Time Count:

United Way of Greater Greensboro, United Way of High Point, West End Ministries, The Friendship Table, our CoC Service Providers, City of GSO Community Safety Department (GSO HOME & BHRT), The Servant Center, the Human Relations Department at the City of High Point, Veteran Affairs, Fortis Consulting, LWE Behavioral Health Division at the Guilford County Sheriff's Office, Greensboro City Police Department, High Point Police Department, Guilford County Geographical Information's System Department, Guilford County Behavioral Health Department, YWCA Greensboro, Salvation Army of Greensboro, Guilford County Animal Services, Guilford County Communications Department, and our Guilford County Commissioners and Management!
