Guilford County Animal Services is partnering with Greensboro Shrub to host an outdoor adoption event. Staff will bring a selection of adoptable dogs into the community to meet potential adopters and enjoy time outside the shelter environment. Approved adopters will have the opportunity to complete adoptions on-site. Sleepy Headz Coffee will also be in attendance with their mobile coffee truck, offering free beverages for guests to enjoy during the event.

Guilford County Animal Services is hosting this adoption event with the Greensboro Science Center and bringing our adoptable dogs with help from our DDO volunteers. If you’re looking to give a fur-ever home to a furry friend, here’s your chance! Red Beard Dog Training will be joining us along with Happy Tails ER Vet. Fur-st Saturdays activities are free to the public. Admission to the GSC is not included in the event.
The Guilford County Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health is alerting Guilford County residents that a raccoon on Nathanael Greene Drive in Greensboro tested positive for the rabies virus on March 24, 2026. This is the eighth confirmed case of animal rabies in 2026.

Enjoy food, drinks and great conversation with fellow animal welfare professionals and advocates while exchanging ideas and building new connections.
