Guilford County Animal Services (GCAS) is participating in the nationwide Clear the Shelter campaign, a month-long pet adoption drive aimed at finding loving homes for animals in need.
From Friday, Aug. 1, to Sunday, Aug. 31, GCAS will be offering reduced adoption fees for cats and dogs from $75 to $25.
“We are excited to participate in the Clear the Shelter campaign for an 8th year and offer our community the opportunity to adopt a pet,” said Jorge Ortega, Animal Services Director. “Our goal is to reduce the number of cats and dogs currently at the animal shelter and help them find the forever homes they deserve.”
The Guilford County Animal Resource Center, located at 980 Guilford College Rd., in Greensboro, is open for pet adoptions daily from 12 to 4 p.m., excluding on Tuesdays. No appointments are needed. Residents can visit GuilfordCountyNC.gov/AdoptAPet to see the cats and dogs are available for adoption.
