Guilford County Animal Services (GCAS) is partnering with the BISSELL Pet Foundation to host the Empty the Shelters adoption event from Wednesday, Oct 1. through Wednesday, Oct. 15. The national adoption event offers families an opportunity to adopt a pet at a reduced fee.
During the two-week event, GCAS will offer reduced adoption fees.
• Adult cats and kittens: $65
• Adult dogs and puppies: $55
• Senior dogs and cats, including barn cats: $10
“Partnering with the BISSELL Pet Foundation is a great opportunity for Guilford County Animal Services. It allows our community to come together and help pets find their forever homes, said Jorge Orgeta, Animal Services Director. “By offering reduced adoption fees, residents have the chance to adopt at a lower cost and help reduce the number of animals in our shelter.”
The Guilford County Animal Resource Center, located at 980 Guilford College Rd., in Greensboro, is open for pet adoptions daily from 12 to 4 p.m., excluding on Tuesdays. No appointments are needed. Residents can visit GuilfordCountyNC.gov/AdoptAPet to see the cats and dogs are available for adoption.
