GUILFORD COUNTY IS UNDER A STATE OF EMERGENCY DECLARATION EFFECTIVE October 11, 2018.  Citizens are ENCOURAGED to stay off the roadways during the impact and post-impact timeframes of the storm if reasonably possible, to limit travel as to not interfere with the efforts of emergency responders and repair crews. Citizens should not enter flooded areas including flooded roadways and structures.

Guilford County owns 7 regional parks for the public to enjoy. Along with the 5 parks listed below that Guilford County manages, we also own Triad Park and Guilford-Mackintosh Park. Northeast Park trails are closed until further notice due to storm cleanup. We apologize for any inconvenience. 

Southwest Park pier fishing is closed for the remainder of the season.

MEETING NOTICE: The next regularly scheduled Guilford County Parks and Recreation Commission meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 13, 2018 in the 1st floor Blue Room of the Old County Courthouse, located at 301 W. Market Street, Greensboro NC.  

NOTICE: The Hagan-Stone Park Campground will not be taking reservations and will be closed from November 1st, 2018 to January 31st, 2019 due to campground upgrades. Please note this closure is subject to change. We apologize for any inconvenience.
