County Offices Closed Due to Anticipated Weather Conditions

Due to anticipated precipitation patterns and expected overnight freezing rain from Winter Storm Fern, all general county services, operations, and facilities will be closed Monday, Jan. 26.

Essential life and public safety services will continue operations, including Emergency Services, Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Fire Marshal’s Office, Sheriff's Office, Animal Control, and designated Social Services functions. Residents should call 9-1-1 for life-threatening emergencies. For non-emergencies in Greensboro, residents should call (336) 373-2222 and in High Point, (336) 883-3224. Residents requesting Adult and Child Protective Services can call 1-800-378-5315.

County staff will continue monitoring road and facility conditions and preparing work sites to safely serve residents when able. Residents can visit GuilfordCountyNC.gov/SevereWeather for updates on delays, closures, preparedness tips, warming centers information, and other resources.
