Instructional Meetings

Under North Carolina election law, all Chief Judge, Judge, and Election Day Specialist (EDS) officials must attend an Instructional Meeting during the week prior to the election. Each precinct is assigned a specific meeting date; however, these assignments are flexible. If you are unable to attend on your precinct's scheduled night, please select another available session. The schedule of Instructional Meetings for the March 3, 2026 Primary is below; choose ONE meeting below to attend.

  • Monday, 2/23, at 5:30 p.m. - Live Virtual Meeting Option
    Virtual attendance only; this session is not held at our office and cannot be attended in person. No pre-registration required. If you cannot connect, you will need to attend an in-person session listed below. Use the link below to access the virtual meeting scheduled for 5:30 on Monday, February 23.

  • Tuesday, 2/24, at 5:45 p.m. - In Person Meeting Option (assigned to Precincts G01-G59)
    Commissioner Meeting Room, Old Guilford County Courthouse, 301 W. Market Street (2nd floor, old courtroom)
     
  • Wednesday, 2/25 at 5:45 p.m. - In Person Meeting Option (assigned to Precincts G60-G75, CG1-FR5B, GIB, GR, JEF1-SCLAY, SF1-SWASH)

  • Thursday, 2/26 at 5:30 p.m. - In Person Meeting Option (assigned to Precincts H01-H29B, JAM1-JAM5, SDRI)
    High Point County Courthouse, 505 E Green Drive (park in Mental Health parking lot on Centennial Drive)

Election Day Training Classes (In Person Options)

See below for in person training class options. There are two different class focuses: Chief Judge/Judge and Election Day Specialist (EDS). Class registration is not necessary. Please arrive on time for your class, according to your assigned position. ID training will be covered in general at these sessions.

Please note: training classes are in addition to the mandatory Instructional Meeting conducted by Charlie Collicutt. The training sessions listed below are not a substitute for the required Instructional Meeting attendance. 

Training classes are optional. If you are comfortable with your election duty requirements and processes, you do not need to attend the training in person. We also provide links below to the handbook, recorded videos, and other options as refreshers of material.
