Sycamore St., Greensboro.The Public Safety Career Expo is open to residents interested in exploring careers in public safety and learning about current job opportunities across multiple county departments and divisions, including Animal Services, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Services, Sheriff's Office, Detention Center, Juvenile Detention, and Security.

Guilford County is launching a Low Income Homeowner Assistance Grant to support qualifying homeowners.The program's application period will first open to residents ages 65 and older, beginning Wednesday, July 15, and will then expand to all eligible residents on Sunday, Aug. 16.The program will be available to Guilford County homeowners earning up to 80% of the area median income. The Guilford County Small Business and Entrepreneurship Department (SBED) invites the community to support local entrepreneurs at the Small Business Pop-up Shop on Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship, 1451 S. The Guilford County Board of Commissioners voted to adopt an $889,196,646 General Fund Budget for the Fiscal Year 2026-2027 (FY2027) during a called special meeting, Thursday, June 25.
