The deadline to register to vote for the Nov. 3, 2026 Midterm General Election is 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9. Voters who are already registered, register by the deadline or mail a registration application postmarked by Oct. 9 will be eligible to vote on Election Day, during early voting or by absentee ballot.
Voter registration applications may be delivered to either Guilford County Board of Elections office:
- 301 W. Market St., Greensboro, NC 27401
- 325 E. Russell Ave., High Point, NC 27260
Registrations may also be mailed to Guilford County Board of Elections, P.O. Box 3427, Greensboro, NC 27402.
Voters who miss the Oct. 9 registration deadline may register and vote using same-day registration during the early voting period. Voters choosing to register and vote this way will be required to show proof of residence. This may be through a document such as a utility bill, bank statement, pay stub, government correspondence, etc., or DMV issued identification, in addition to the Photo ID requirement.
