The filing period for individuals seeking to run for office will open Monday, Dec. 1, at noon and will close Friday, Dec. 19, at noon. Residents who wish to run for county offices must file a notice of candidacy and pay the required filing fee before the Dec. 19 deadline to qualify for the ballot.

The Guilford County Board of Elections is sharing the early voting schedule for the Tuesday, Oct. 7 Municipal Primary Election with residents following the North Carolina State Board of Elections approval on Wednesday, Aug. 27.

The filing period to run for municipal offices begins Monday, July 7, at 8 a.m. and ends on Friday, July 18, at noon. Residents wishing to run for municipal office in Guilford County in the following cities and towns must file notices of candidacy and pay the appropriate filing fee before Friday, July 18, at noon to be candidates on the ballot.
