Guilford County Animal Services (GCAS) is participating in the nationwide Clear the Shelter adoption campaign now through Monday, Aug. 31.
Through the end of August, GCAS is reducing adoption fees for all cats and dogs to $10. All adopted pets will be vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed or neutered.
“We are excited to participate in the annual Clear the Shelter adoption campaign and give our community the opportunity to adopt a new pet at a reduced fee,” said Jorge Ortega, Animal Services Director. “Animal Services has taken in more than 400 animals this month, and our goal is to help as many cats and dogs as possible find loving, permanent homes while reducing the number of pets in the shelter.”
The Guilford County Animal Resource Center, located at 980 Guilford College Rd. in Greensboro, is open for pet adoptions daily from noon to 4 p.m., except on Tuesdays. No appointments are needed. Residents can visit GuilfordCountyNC.gov/AdoptAPet to see the cats and dogs available for adoption.
