Guilford County continues to partner with Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina and other community organizations on the OneGuilford: Support Our Pantries, a collaborative initiative aimed at assisting residents affected by the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits pause.
Through the OneGuilford: Support Our Pantries, Guilford County and community partners are assessing the needs of community food providers, identifying service gaps, addressing capacity concerns, and deploying resources to areas where support is most needed.
Residents in need of food assistance can visit GuilfordCountyNC.gov/FindFood or can use the Greater Guilford Food Finder app by visiting FindFood.GHPFA.org to find nearby food pantries and meal resources.
The county also launched its Fill the Gap campaign in conjunction with the OneGuilford: Support Our Pantries initiative to encourage community members to volunteer their time or donate food or funds directly to Second Harvest Food Bank, The Greater High Point Food Alliance, A Simple Gesture, and the Guilford Nonprofit Consortium. For more information on ways to help Fill the Gap, community members interested in supporting local food efforts through donations or volunteer opportunities can visit GuilfordCountyNC.gov/FillTheGap.
