Despite a recent fire at the Guilford County Katie S. Cashion Center, the Guilford County Family Justice Center (FJC) remains committed to serving victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, and stalking.
To continue assisting residents in the Greensboro area, the FJC is opening a temporary location, the Guilford County Family Justice Center Courthouse Pop-up, inside the Guilford County Courthouse in Greensboro, located on 201 S. Eugene St. Beginning Tuesday, July 22, the temporary site will be open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and will remain open until the Katie S. Cashion Center is safe to reoccupy.
“The safety and well-being of our residents is always our top priority,” said Catherine Johnson, FJC Director. “We’re incredibly grateful to our partners and to Chief District Court Judge Fletcher for working swiftly to ensure our life-saving services continue uninterrupted. Establishing a temporary pop-up location in such a short time reflects our community’s strong partnerships and commitment to victims of crime. Survivors deserve consistent, compassionate support, and thanks to Guilford County administration and our partners, we’re ready to assist residents from our Greensboro and High Point offices.”
Residents visiting the Guilford County Family Justice Center Courthouse Pop-up can enter the courthouse at the main public entrance facing the Governmental Plaza. Residents who require use of an ADA entrance can enter the courthouse through the entrance located on S. Eugene St. Cell phones, cameras, laptops, and other communication devices are prohibited in the courthouse.
The FJC in High Point, located at 505 E. Green Dr., remains fully operational and is open for walk-ins Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
