For the ninth consecutive year, the Guilford County Family Justice Center (FJC) will host Camp HOPE America – North Carolina, Guilford County, a nationally recognized, evidence-based camping and mentoring program for children impacted by violence and abuse.
Despite a recent fire at the Guilford County Katie S. Cashion Center, the Guilford County Family Justice Center (FJC) remains committed to serving victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, and stalking.

Guilford County Family Justice Center (FJC) is celebrating a decade of transformation with a 10th Anniversary Breakfast on Friday, June 6. The FJC 10th Anniversary Breakfast will be hosted at Grandover Resort & Spa in Greensboro from 7:30 to 9 a.m. The program will include remarks by Board of Commissioner Chair Melvin “Skip” Alston, Commissioner At-Large Kay Cashion, Greensboro Mayor Pro Tem Marikay Abuzuaiter, FJC Director Catherine Johnson and survivor testimonies.
In honor of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, observed on Sunday, June 15, the Guilford County Family Justice Center’s Elder Justice Committee is seeking nominations from the community for the 2025 Elder Justice Champion Award. This award recognizes individuals and organizations that go above and beyond to protect the rights, dignity, and safety of older adults.
