The Guilford County Department of Social Services (GCDSS) will host a hiring event to fill social work positions in its Children’s Services division on Wednesday, July 29, from 3 to 6 p.m. at its Greensboro office, 1203 Maple St.

In honor of Elder Abuse Awareness Month, the Guilford County Division of Social Services (DSS) is hosting a “Be Bold, Age with Attitude” Resource Fair on Thursday, June 25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be held in the DSS parking lot at 1203 Maple St. in Greensboro.

The resource fair will feature more than 40 vendors and agencies serving aging adults and individuals. Attendees can access a wide range of resources, including free health screenings, mobile health units, and a variety of local food trucks.

The Guilford County Division of Social Services (GCDSS) is actively seeking dedicated protective services social workers and eligibility case workers. To connect with qualified candidates, GCDSS is hosting a hiring fair with on-site interviews on Wednesday, May 20, from 2 to 6 p.m. at its Greensboro office, located at 1203 Maple St.

The Guilford County Health and Human Services building, including Social Services, at 1203 Maple St. in Greensboro, is closed today due to a power outage. 

Residents can visit the Social Services office in High Point, located at 325 E. Russell Ave, or call 336-641-3000 for assistance. 

For Child Protective Services, residents can call 336-641-3795. For Adult Protective Services, residents can call 336-641-3137. 

In honor of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, observed on Sunday, June 15, the Guilford County Division of Social Services (DSS) is hosting a “Beyond Age” Community Event on Friday, June 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be held at the parking lot of DSS located on 1203 Maple St. in Greensboro.

The “Beyond Age” Community Event will feature more than 40 vendors and agencies serving adults and individuals. Attendees can access a wide range of resources, including free health screenings, mobile health units, and a variety of local food trucks.
