Planning Board

The Guilford County Planning Board is a citizen board appointed by the Board of County Commissioners.  The board works closely with the Planning and Development Department and is responsible for deciding cases for zoning map amendments, road name changes, road closings, easement closings, appeals from the Technical Review Committee and makes recommendations to the Board of Commissioners.

The Planning Board regularly meets at the Old County Courthouse – Carolyn Q. Coleman Conference Room, 301 W. Market Street, Greensboro, NC 27401 .

Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:00 PM, when the Planning Board has business to consider. Please refer to the Meeting Schedule for specific dates.
