The Guilford County Health and Human Services building, including Social Services, at 1203 Maple St. in Greensboro, is closed today due to a power outage. Residents can visit the Social Services office in High Point, located at 325 E. In honor of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, observed on Sunday, June 15, the Guilford County Division of Social Services (DSS) is hosting a “Beyond Age” Community Event on Friday, June 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be held at the parking lot of DSS located on 1203 Maple St. in Greensboro.The “Beyond Age” Community Event will feature more than 40 vendors and agencies serving adults and individuals. Attendees can access a wide range of resources, including free health screenings, mobile health units, and a variety of local food trucks.
