Join Guilford County’s Small Business and Entrepreneurship Department (SBED) for Directors and Donuts, a casual, conversation-based series designed to connect small business owners directly with County leadership. This session features Shaunne Thomas, Executive Director of SBED, who will share insights on small business support, access to public contracting opportunities, and how local businesses can better engage with county resources.

This free, monthly workshop is designed to help small business owners build confidence in managing their finances and making informed business decisions. Participants will gain practical guidance on understanding key financial concepts, improving cash flow, and strengthening their business for long-term growth and sustainability.

Guilford County is asking residents and businesses to share feedback through a brief online survey on how they manage garbage and recycling as the county develops its upcoming Solid Waste Management Plan. The survey gathers information on service satisfaction, recycling habits, accessibility, and community priorities related to waste management.

Pre-orders will need to be prepaid to guarantee their order. First-come, first serve.

Accepted payment types are cash and checks only.

Checks should be made payable to "Friends of Guilford SWCD" and mailed with the order form to the address below no later than Tuesday, January 20, 2025. Orders can be placed in person at our office or by mail.

Orders not picked up by January 30 will be resold without a refund.

Guilford County Environmental Services and the Town of Oak Ridge invite all county residents to participate in the upcoming Shredding and Recycling Event on Nov. 1, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Oak Ridge Elementary school parking lot, 2050 Oak Ridge Rd, Oak Ridge.

The recycling event is free and open to all Guilford County residents. Business waste will not be accepted.
