Guilford County is pleased to announce Natalie Owens will serve as the new director of the NC Cooperative Extension – Guilford County Center, effective Friday, Aug. 1.
The farmers market will be held on Thursday, June 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature minority farmers offering fresh, locally grown produce and meat. The event will also showcase live music and performances, craft vendors, and local food trucks. There is no admission fee to attend the farmers' market.

The Guilford County Small Business and Entrepreneurship Department (SBED) and NC Cooperative Extension - Guilford County Center are partnering with Triad Black Faith Leaders, Black Farmers Network, and East Greensboro NOW for the Juneteenth Triad Farmers Market at the Hayes-Taylor Memorial YMCA in Greensboro. Guilford County’s Food Security team and NC Cooperative Extension - Guilford County Center announce the opening of a compelling new photovoice exhibit titled "Framing the Future: A Photovoice Exploration of Food Justice." The photovoice exhibit features a collection of photographs and accompanying narratives that highlight the diverse perspectives of food access and food security throughout the county. The exhibit marks the culmination of months of work, including community-driven photo submissions gathered as part of the county’s photovoice research project.

Join the NC Cooperative Extension - Guilford County Center Food Security Team, with support from UNCG's Recipe for Success, for the launch of our Photovoice exhibit entitled "Framing the Future: A Photovoice Exploration of Food Justice", showcasing photos and accompanying narratives gathered from participants in Guilford County.The art exhibit will stay up until Friday, May 30, therefore community members will be able to view the exhibit during The Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship's operating hours Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
