In response to recent confirmed rabies cases in the Jamestown area, Guilford County Animal Services (GCAS) is suspending the intake of healthy cats. This measure is being taken out of an abundance of caution and will remain in effect until further notice. GCAS will continue to accept cats that are sick, injured, or pose a danger to the public.Residents who suspect a cat may be exhibiting signs of rabies are urged to contact Guilford County Animal Control immediately at 336-641-5990.
