Greensboro Detention Center

The general visitation schedule for the Greensboro Detention facilities are as follows:

Tuesday - Friday:

  • 8:30 am - 10:30 am
  • 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
  • 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Saturday - Sunday:

  • 8:30 am - 10:30 am
  • 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

For inmates housed in Administrative Segregation:

Wednesday:

  • 8:30 am - 10:30 am
  • 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
  • 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Saturday:

  • 8:30 am - 10:30 am
  • 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

All Visits at Greensboro Jail Central must be scheduled in person at the visitation kiosk or at the reception window. Visitors need to register and schedule their visit one day in advance. Visitors may visit only one time per week for at least 20 minutes.

There is NO VISITATION on MONDAY.

High Point Detention Center

The general visitation schedule for the High Point Detention facilities are as follows:

  • Tuesday - Friday: 9:00 am - 10:30 am
  • Tuesday - Thursday: 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

For inmates housed in Disciplinary Isolation/Segregation:

  • Wednesday: 9:00 am to 10:30 am
  • Thursday: 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm

Visitors must be signed in at least 20 minutes prior to the visitation closing time in order to be allowed a visit.

Inmate Books and Clothing

Authorized clothing items must be purchased through the canteen. Books may be purchased for inmates through a publisher. We only accept books for inmates mailed directly from the publisher. Canteen Accounts The maximum amount of money an inmate is allowed to have in their account is $75. Money is accepted for inmates at the Greensboro and High Point Detention Centers Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm except during visitation times.
