The Department of Public Health urges community members, both adults and children, with underlying health conditions to protect themselves and others by scheduling a flu appointment as soon as possible
In addition to getting a flu vaccination, the Department of Public Health also recommends the following infection-reducing measures:
- Staying home when you are sick
- Staying away from others who are sick
- Getting enough rest to avoid becoming sick
- Frequent handwashing
- Avoiding high-risk activities such as crowded spaces
- Consider masking during the peak of respiratory season
