2026 Tax Bills Available Now Through Online Portal, Arrival By U.S. Mail To Follow

Guilford County property owners can now view and pay their 2026 tax bills online before notices arrive via the U.S. Postal Service the week of August 10. Those who pay their bill by Monday, Aug. 31, will be granted a 1% discount. Bills unpaid after Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2027, are considered delinquent.

Payment is accepted in the form of cash, check, money order, or credit/debit card, either online or pay-by-phone through the "Pay It" portal, via the Drop Box or at the counter at the Greensboro or High Point Tax Offices, or through the U.S. Postal Service.

Payment Options:

  • Pay By Mail: 
    • Mail checks to Guilford County Tax Department, P.O. Box 70939, Charlotte, NC 28272-0939
    • Checks should be made out to Guilford County Tax Department
  • Pay In Person:
    • 400 W. Market St., Greensboro
    • 325 E. Russell Ave., High Point
    • Cash
    • Card (over-the-counter processing and transaction fees may apply)
    • Check
  • Pay Online or Pay-By-Phone at (336) 203-7795 (electronic processing and transaction fees may apply)

As a reminder, Guilford County will never call taxpayers for payment unless your bill is delinquent and will verify your tax bill number. Additionally, tax bills cannot be paid with gift cards.
