The Guilford County Planning Board will host a special meeting on Wednesday, April 23, 6 p.m., for a presentation of the updated draft Guilford County Comprehensive Plan, Moving Forward Together.
The special meeting will be hosted at the Board of Commissioners Chambers located inside the Old Guilford County Courthouse, 301 W. Market St., Greensboro. The meeting is open to the public.
A third-party consultant will be presenting the Comprehensive Plan following the recommendation of the steering committee to move the plan for the Guilford County Planning Board’s consideration. Following its review and consideration, the Planning Board will recommend the plan to the Board of Commissioners. A public hearing will be held as part of the commissioners' consideration as part of the adoption process.
The Comprehensive Plan is intended as a guide for Guilford County to help ensure development around the county takes place in a manner that aligns with the community’s vision for both the built and natural environments over the next 15 to 20 years.
