Guilford County Parks invites volunteers to join "The Big Pick," the annual grape harvesting event at the Guilford County Farm, located at 7315 Howerton Rd., Gibsonville. This year’s event will take place on two Saturdays, Sept. 27, and Oct. 4, from 9 a.m. to noon, offering an opportunity for volunteers of all ages to come together and support local food banks and shelters.Last year, more than 200 volunteers came out to help, harvesting over 2,500 pounds of muscadine grapes.  
Guilford County Parks is seeking a variety of vendors to participate in the Bur-Mil Fall Fest, Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The free festival will take place outdoors at Bur-Mil Park, 5834 Bur-Mil Club Rd., in Greensboro.

Guilford County Parks invites the community to kick off Independence Day celebrations with the county’s largest fireworks display at the annual Fireworks Extravaganza. This highly anticipated event will take place at Northeast Park, located at 3441 Northeast Park Dr. in Gibsonville, on Thursday, July 3.
All county residents are invited to participate in Guilford Creek Week, a collaboration between Guilford County, City of Greensboro, City of High Point, local businesses, and nonprofits from Saturday, June 21 to Saturday, June 28. Each year, this initiative provides fun and educational opportunities throughout Guilford County to raise awareness about the health of our watersheds.
Guilford County Parks Aquatic Centers at Bur-Mil Park, Hagan-Stone Park, and Northeast Park will open on Memorial Day weekend. Pools will open weekends only through Sunday, June 8.Memorial Day weekend schedule:
