The Guilford County Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health is alerting Guilford County residents that a raccoon on Millburn Drive in Greensboro tested positive for the rabies virus on August 27, 2025. This is the seventh confirmed case of animal rabies in 2025.

Guilford County Animal Services will partnering with High Point Public Library to host a free rabies clinic in celebration of World Rabies Day!We will be providing free 1-year rabies vaccines for the public. No online sign up required, we will provide forms to fill out at the event!All pets must be 4 months or older, and contained on a leash or in a carrier. Vaccines are 1 year vaccines and are free!
