The Guilford Health and Human Services Agency (HHS) partners with all Guilford County residents to empower, protect, and promote health and well-being through self-sufficiency and innovation. Guilford County HHS is committed to building a healthy, safe, and thriving community.

Division of Public Health

Public Health works in partnership with the community to protect, promote, and enhance the health and well-being of all people and the environment in our communities. We help keep people and our community healthy.

Division of Social Services

Social Services works in partnership with the community to empower individuals and families and to eliminate poverty and family violence. We use a holistic approach to assure safety, promote self-sufficiency and permanency in the lives of adults, children, and families.

Transportation Services

Guilford County provides transportation and mobility services through Guilford County Transportation and Mobility Services (TAMS). Residents can use TAMS to travel to medical appointments, employment, education, senior services, nutrition sites, and adult day care. 

Health and Human Services Advisory Committee

Members appointed by the Board of Commissioners as an advisory body for the Consolidated Health and Human Services Agency.

Continuum of Care

The Guilford County Continuum of Care (Guilford CoC) is the planning body in Guilford County, North Carolina that coordinates the community’s policies, strategies and activities toward ending homelessness.
