Guilford County Division of Public Health Sexual Health Action Group, alongside local HIV/STI community partner Triad Health Project, will provide a series of no-cost events in observance of World AIDS Day beginning on Monday, December 1.Since 1988, December 1 has been globally recognized as World AIDS Day—a day dedicated to raising awareness, supporting the nearly 40.8 million people living with HIV globally, and honoring the more than 44.1 million lives lost to HIV/AIDS.
The Guilford County Division of Public Health's Primary Care Clinic will host an open house providing no-cost health tests and screenings from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, November 14. All tests and screenings are open to the public and will take place at the Guilford County Division of Public Health's Primary Care Clinic located at 1100 East Wendover Avenue in Greensboro.Services will include confidential testing for HIV, syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea and Hepatitis B and C. Screenings will include blood pressure, cholesterol, body mass index (BMI) and blood sugar levels.
The Guilford County Division of Public Health is now offering appointments for the 2025-2026 seasonal influenza (flu) vaccine for anyone aged 6 months and older. Appointments are available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the following locations:1100 E. Guilford County invites the public to join a candlelight vigil creating space for community members affected by pregnancy and infant loss. Organized by Every Baby Guilford, the vigil will be held on Saturday, October 4 at 4 p.m. at The Circle Center in High Point.
The Guilford County Division of Public Health will co-host a community event in recognition of National Recovery Month on Thursday, September 18 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Foundations Health High Point located at 919 Philips Avenue, Suite 107, High Point.
The Guilford County Division of Public Health welcomes rising seventh and twelfth graders and parents and guardians to visit select Guilford County Schools located in both Greensboro and High Point for required back-to-school immunizations. The clinics will be held on scheduled days in September.
