Driver / Shift Supervisor Opportunity - EM Holt Fire Department

The E. M. Holt Fire Dept. is accepting applications for the position of Driver/Shift Supervisor Deadline: Open until filled

The position of Driver/Shift Supervisor requires the employee to play a multifunctional role. This role encompasses the many responsibilities required on an emergency scene, as well as the daily tasks of managing a fire station and the affiliated personnel, apparatus and equipment. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: emergency and non-emergency response to Fire, EMS, Rescue, and other requests for service; facilities and equipment maintenance; pre-fire planning; public fire education, and other duties as specified by the Fire Chief and/or Immediate Supervisor.  This position is also subject to “call back”.

Qualifications

  • be at least 21 years of age

  • 3 years of firefighting experience

  • class B driver’s license or able to obtain class B

  • NC Firefighter certification

  • Medical Responder or EMT-B

  • NC EVD certification

  • Driver Operator/Pumps or ability to obtain

  • basic computer skills

  • physically fit for the job

Salary is negotiable based on qualifications and experience; minimum starting salary is $35,000
