Guilford County Sheriff Danny Rogers supports Reentry efforts and is actively participating in community events involving youth, outreach and violence prevention.
According to the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, in 2017, more than 20,000 people were released from state prisons. Last year, almost 1,100 were released back to Guilford County. In an effort to support their successful transition, Reentry Councils throughout the state coordinate services that assist those who want to rebuild their lives. Through coordination of services, case management and assistance with various things such as housing, substance abuse prevention, health and mental health services, the Guilford County Reentry Program is helping justice served individuals, help themselves.
In the past 10 months, 158 men and women have participated in the program in Guilford County. Slowly, lives are being reclaimed, families are being reunited, participants are going to work and our communities are becoming stronger.
Join the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office as we celebrate Reentry Week and our very own Guilford County Reentry Council.
Please contact Sharon Harrison-Pope for more information regarding our Reentry Program by email at SPOPE@guilfordcountync.gov.
